Drama Workshops
for fun and confidence
You don't have to want to appear on stage to benefit from these fun
drama workshops!
Aimed at adults who want to experience a different type of creativity
and find out a bit more about the skills actors use, we:
play games to build trust and promote teamwork, to
loosen up our bodies and minds
use our imaginations to create fantastical environments,
to explore different realities and put ourselves in other
people's shoes
create and tell stories, or make our own interpretations of
other people's stories
find the potential of our voices
build awareness of our physicality and find different ways
to move
“my goal is for everyone to leave the session smiling and
feeling that they have made a personal achievement”
we usually work on exercises in groups or pairs
the work can be quite concentrated, but a lot of the time
... we get pretty silly
there is no such thing as failure in the group - we enjoy
everyone's attempts, and support each other to have a go
and push our personal creative boundaries
unless specified, the groups are suitable for adults of any
age and physical ability - if you have any special needs or
requirements, let me know beforehand so that I can adapt
the session to take account of these
I'm always happy to have a chat, without any
commitment, if you want to know more before coming for
the first time - don't hesitate to get in touch

“Acting books tell me about acting, Clare has taught me
about living. She peels back my layers with a look, and we
sit down and work … naturally, fluidly. After every session
I feel confident, ready.”

Acting Workshops &
Individual Support for Actors
RagBag also supports people who are focused on getting on stage for
the first time, returning to the stage after a break or on developing
existing skills.
We offer:
ongoing groups or one-off workshops, and interested
groups can commission specific topics
groups can be skills-focussed or work towards some kind
of performance
one to one work with actors who may have specific issues
such as creative blocks, performance nerves, connecting
physicality with language, or help with learning lines
If I don't feel that I am the best person to work with you,
I may be able to point you in the direction of a colleague
“it is only in playing that the individual
is able to be creative and to use the whole
personality, and it is only in being creative
that the individual discovers the self”
